Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Boston seeks a General Manager who will own café operations, lead teams, and drive exceptional hospitality and financial performance. You will manage staffing, scheduling, and daily routines to ensure guest satisfaction and brand standards across service, quality, and safety.

You thrive in fast-paced environments, develop talent, and collaborate with district leaders to execute strategic initiatives while delivering top-line growth and a thriving neighborhood presence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Manager in high-volume, full-service restaurant environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• ServSafe, Allergen, and ChokeSaver certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop hourly and management teams; hire, coach, and uphold standards.
• Own café P&L: optimize labor and food costs, forecast accurately, and drive growth.
• Ensure operational and brand excellence across food safety, quality, speed, and hospitality.
• Build local community presence and represent Tatte's values in interactions.
• Collaborate with District Manager, Culinary, HR, Training, and Marketing on initiatives.
• Create staffing plans, labor deployment, and scheduling to meet goals.
• Perform performance reviews and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Make hiring, promotion, transfer, discipline, and termination recommendations.
