Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe seeks an Assistant General Manager to collaborate with the General Manager in overseeing daily café operations and creating a warm, authentic atmosphere for guests and team members.

Lead hospitality standards, coach managers and hourly staff, ensure food safety and operational excellence, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• High integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Support General Manager in ownership of daily café operations.
• Model authentic hospitality and create a welcoming environment.
• Assist recruiting, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Identify and develop talent across all levels of the café.
• Support performance management conversations and coaching.
• Maintain brand and visual standards across the café.
• Lead teams through effective operational execution.
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards are met.
• Support café communications and change-management initiatives.
• Contribute to controlling costs related to food, labor, and operations.
