Job summary

Tatte Bakery & Cafe in Wellesley, MA is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to work with the General Manager to lead daily café operations and deliver warm hospitality.

You will coach managers and hourly team members, uphold quality and service standards, and ensure operational excellence across food safety, cleanliness, and presentation.

In the absence of GM, the AGM takes on full GM responsibilities and helps recruit, onboard, and develop talent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• High integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Lead with warmth, authenticity, and professionalism.
• Deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding hospitality standards.
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
