Job summary

CDM Smith seeks an Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for transit and multimodal projects with strong cross-discipline coordination experience. You will ensure federated, clash-checked models across architecture, structures, transportation and MEP, and drive model health across Autodesk and Bentley tools.

You will lead clash detection, establish CADD/BIM standards, mentor staff, and interface with clients to meet project deliverables. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with vocational training in basic CADD drafting technology and intelligent modeling.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-discipline coordination — coordinate intelligent models across architecture, vertical structures, transportation structures, roadway design, and MEP.
• Model coordination & clash detection — run clash detection and lead resolution across disciplines.
• Standards & governance — establish, document, and enforce CADD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows.
• Mentorship & guidance — mentor and train production staff across offices.
• Acts as Intelligent Modeling Coordinator for projects to ensure coordination between design team.
• Performs crosscheck of drawings for consistency with guidelines and QC standards.
• Reviews manufacturer prints and verifies model health and interoperability across Autodesk/Bentley tools.
• Develops BIM Execution Plans and advises on integration approach and LOE.
