Job summary

Special-Lite is seeking a Product Design Detailer/Drafter at our Decatur, MI location to support the Sales Operations team. The role involves using Configura and other drawing tools to generate shop orders and precise product specifications for doors and frames.

You will collaborate with customers and production to ensure exact fits and on‑time delivery. The ideal candidate is highly detail oriented, organized, and capable of learning specialized software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Experience with Configura, CAD, or other technical drawing software is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Creates work orders (shop sheets) for production using Configura and customer drawings.
• Works with customers to identify the correct product for their application.
• Reads and renders hardware template data into order specifications and details.
• Modifies, copies, and stores documents using software and hardware.
• Communicates with internal and external customers via email, phone, and in person.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
