Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, architecture, or construction-related field preferred; equivalent hands-on experience considered.
• 2–4 years of experience in detailing, estimating, project coordination, or specification work within commercial construction or building materials.
• Applied knowledge of door, frame, and hardware types, manufacturer product lines, and how components interact in a complete opening assembly.

Responsibilities

• Review sales sheets, job requirements, and contract documents to establish accurate opening quantities and product requirements.
• Detail and schedule door, frame, and hardware materials, verify costs against estimates, document variances.
• Determine product selections based on specifications, scope, cost targets, and code requirements.
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals using catalog cuts and company software.
• Write clear technical notes and review schedules/submittals for errors before release.
