Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; math and problem-solving skills essential.
• Ability to interpret hardware templates, blueprints, and drawings.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and other common applications.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time-management abilities; able to manage multiple orders.
• Experience with AutoCAD or DraftSight preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties related to the processing of customer orders.
• Handle technical inquiries from manufacturing and customers.
• Produce drawings for manufacturing using AutoCAD or DraftSight.
• Submit and document all information requests, clarifications, and changes using established protocol.
• Understand and utilize the standard practices of the steel industry.
• Communicate with customers on discrepancies and/or application conflicts.
• Provide technical and problem-solving support to manufacturing and customers.
• Calculate or verify pricing for custom products in accordance with established guidelines.
• Interpret hardware templates and prepare detailed drawings for manufacturing requirements.
• Review order documentation and prepare orders for processing.
• Function well in a team environment in all areas of business.
