Job summary

CBX Solutions LLC is seeking a Detailer to convert contract documents into accurate door, frame, and hardware schedules. You will ensure code compliance and collaborate with project teams to meet UL, ADA, and life-safety standards.

The role requires strong detailing, plan reading, and CAD skills, with 2–4 years in commercial construction or related fields. On-site work in Jacksonville, FL with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, architecture, or construction-related field preferred; equivalent hands‑on experience considered.
• 2–4 years of experience in detailing, estimating, or specification work within commercial construction or building materials.
• Knowledge of door, frame, and hardware types and interactions in a complete opening assembly.
• Working knowledge of UL listings, fire/smoke ratings, ADA requirements, and local building codes.
• Proficiency with detailing/scheduling software and Microsoft Office; CAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review sales sheets, job requirements, and contract documents to establish accurate opening quantities and product requirements.
• Detail and schedule door, frame, and hardware materials; compare costs against estimates and document variances.
• Determine product selections based on specs, scope, targets, and code standards.
• Ensure all products meet code requirements including UL, fire/smoke ratings, ADA, and life safety.
• Prepare shop drawings, schedules, and submittals from catalog cuts and internal software.
• Create elevation drawings and sections using CAD or detailing tools.
• Draft clear technical notes highlighting issues or verifications for GC/architect during submittals.
• Review schedules/submittals for errors and resubmit as needed.
• Maintain organized project files throughout the project lifecycle.
