Job summary

Construction Specialties, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Detail Designer to produce placement plans and detailed drawings for the Interior Wall Protection program.

The role involves coordinating orders across departments and with customers to ensure project completion. You will modify standard products to fit job conditions, participate in meetings, and maintain project documentation while upholding quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Drafting, Design, or Architectural Design.
• Ability to read and understand rough or detailed sketches or notes, analyze, and interpret contract documents.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal departments, customers, representatives, contractors, and architects.
• Basic mathematical skills including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Creates field use placement drawings from Estimator’s quotations and contract documents for architectural comment and review.
• Recaps job quantities and models for comparison with Estimator’s quotation.
• Reviews architectural change proposals, requests for information, and addenda drawings for effect on scope of work.
• Answers specific or general technical questions from architects, contractors, and representatives.
• Coordinates and communicates with internal departments to ensure accuracy and final fabrication of project requirements.
• Responsible for meeting committed dates and performing tasks as assigned in an efficient manner.
