Job summary

SANY Group in Atlanta, GA seeks a Cab Design Engineer to lead structural and ergonomic cab development for large-tonnage mining loaders. You will shape the cab architecture, influence mounting, sealing and interior systems while ensuring durability in harsh mining environments.

Role demands NVH optimization, on-site testing support, and coordination with suppliers to deliver PPAP documentation and validated designs that meet safety and reliability standards.

• Lead overall structural design and ergonomic layout of the cab for large-tonnage mining loaders.
• Oversee cab internal and external structures, mounting and fixation, sealing and interior systems.
• Support prototype manufacturing, commissioning and on-site tests with iterative optimization.
• Participate in cab FMEA and benchmarking against international models to improve safety and comfort.
• Liaise with suppliers for cab assembly development, sample verification and PPAP documentation.

Job description

• Responsible for the overall structural design, layout development and ergonomic design of the cab for large-tonnage mining loaders. Oversee the implementation of overall solutions for cab internal and external structures, mounting and fixation, suspension vibration isolation, sealing protection and interior systems.
• Responsible for the design of cab noise reduction, vibration damping, sealing, heat insulation and dust prevention systems. Adapt to harsh mine conditions with high dust, intense vibration and high temperature, and optimize the complete machine NVH performance.
• Follow up prototype manufacturing, commissioning and mine industrial tests, resolve on-site issues, and complete iterative optimization with full closure.
• Participate in cab FMEA analysis and benchmarking against international benchmark models, and continuously improve the safety, reliability, comfort and sealing performance of the cab.
• Liaise with suppliers for cab assembly development, sample verification, technical briefing and issue rectification, and support delivery of PPAP documents.
