Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration in Huntsville, AL, seeks a Software Engineer (26-420) to support the C2BMC program, delivering mission-critical software for national defense. The role requires an active secret clearance and on-site work with no remote option.

You will design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE software, participate in an Agile environment, implement CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with systems engineering, test, and operations teams to ensure reliable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng/Math/Physics or related field with 2 years experience; or Master’s with 1 year; or 6 years experience alternative.
• Active Secret clearance required to start.
• Experience in Java/J2EE; OO languages; knowledge of modern software practices.
• Familiar with automated testing, CI/CD, configuration management, and version control.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software in Java/J2EE for Regional Applications within C2BMC.
• Work in an Agile team to implement features and resolve complex issues.
• Translate requirements and SysML artifacts into robust software components.
• Deliver automated tests and maintain build pipelines and CI/CD.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with systems engineering, test, and operations.
• Prepare technical documentation and assist in deployment and operations.
