Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks a licensed audiologist to perform VA Compensation & Pension evaluations. This non-treatment role focuses on evaluation, testing, and documentation for Veterans, with flexible scheduling and 1099 contractor status.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, objective, and able to follow structured evaluation protocols while delivering timely, VA-compliant reports.

Qualifications

• Au.D./M.S./M.A./PhD in Audiology or related field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Objective, fact-based evaluation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct VA C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing and tinnitus-related evaluations per VA guidelines.
• Utilize DBQs and standardized audiology testing protocols.
• Gather history via focused, objective interviews.
• Complete audiometric testing and related clinical documentation.
• Prepare clear, concise reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes.
• Submit documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Adhere to ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards.
