Job summary

Empower Mental Health seeks a licensed Audiologist for C&P evaluations of Veterans, conducted in a non-treatment, evaluation-focused role.

You will review records, obtain focused histories, perform VA-mspecified audiometric testing, and prepare reports in VA formats. This position offers flexible scheduling and an opportunity to supplement income with meaningful work, while avoiding ongoing patient care or insurance billing.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Must have access to a calibrated audiometer capable of performing VA-required hearing evaluations.
• Must have access to a diagnostic tympanometer (immittance device) capable of performing tympanometry and acoustic reflex testing.
• Master's Degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing objective, fact-based evaluations.
• Comfortability performing Maryland CNC speech recognition testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines
• Review relevant medical records and examination information
• Obtain relevant history through focused, objective interviews
• Perform required audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats
• Provide objective, fact-based findings without influencing the outcome of a Veteran's claim
• Submit completed examination documentation within required timeframes
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment
• Follow all applicable ethical, legal, professional, and confidentiality requirements
