Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a licensed Audiologist to conduct VA/C&P evaluations. This is a non-treatment, evaluation-focused role with no ongoing patient care or insurance billing.

As a C&P Audiologist, you will review records, perform VA-required testing, and prepare documentation. This is a flexible, contractor position with in-person opportunities and compensation per evaluation.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Must have access to calibrated audiometer capable of VA-required evaluations.
• Must have access to a diagnostic tympanometer (immittance device).
• Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Comfortable performing Maryland CNC speech recognition testing.
• Access to equipment such as SHOEBOX Audiometer, Interacoustics Titan, Interacoustics AT235/AT235h, GSI TympStar Pro, Kuduwave or comparable diagnostic audiology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform structured hearing loss and tinnitus-related evaluations based on VA guidelines.
• Review relevant medical records and examination information.
• Obtain relevant history through focused, objective interviews.
• Perform required audiometric testing and related clinical documentation as required.
• Prepare clear, concise, and timely reports in VA-required formats.
• Provide objective, fact-based findings without influencing the outcome of a Veteran's claim.
• Submit completed examination documentation within required timeframes.
• Maintain clear boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Follow all applicable ethical, legal, professional, and confidentiality requirements.
