Job summary

Organic Valley is seeking a Production Float to support the Chaseburg Creamery. This on-site role covers HTST, intake, buttermaking, and butter packaging, with 12-hour shifts and on-call duties. The team emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement across production areas.

You will contribute to labor, sanitation, and documentation while working 6am–6pm on Wednesday/Thursday and every other Friday–Sunday. A 3% annual bonus may accompany performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a buttermaker license.
• Ability to obtain certification on the Charm Phosphates Test Method.
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts, including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• On-call availability and prompt response to shift calls.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests for bulk milk to ensure CROPP specs before unloading or shipping.
• Receive and load raw and pasteurized milk, including truck-to-truck transfers.
• Operate HTST pasteurizers and maintain product levels as required.
• Perform cream culturing and operate CIP systems for cleaning equipment.
• Operate butter packaging lines and assist with packing and palletizing.
