Job summary

West Point Dairy Products is seeking an evening shift candidate to melt butter and repackage into 50 lb. cases. The role includes relief support across the print and packaging department and general equipment operation as needed.

Shifts run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6pm to 6am. Benefits are offered after probation, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality control throughout production.

Qualifications

• Follow good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
• Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, packaging, GMPs.
• Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats.
• Operate equipment (Melter/Sepamatic) and related tooling efficiently.
• Assist with relief for machine operators in print/packaging and forklift roles.

Responsibilities

• Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
• Verify quality control items such as product weights, coding, packaging, GMP's etc.
• Maintain proper documentation in all record keeping formats
• Operate Rothenberg, chipping, bulk packer, and rework equipment (Melter/Sepamatic) at an efficient level to fulfill plant demands.
• Serve as relief/support staff to machine operators throughout the print and packaging department.
• Serve as relief/support staff for Par Room Forklift Operator.
• Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed.
• Backfill to other positions/departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
