Job summary

Smith & Wollensky in Boston is seeking a Busser to support front-of-house operations in a fast-paced restaurant. The role involves clearing dishes, resetting tables, and helping servers with guest needs to ensure a smooth dining experience.

You will maintain dining room cleanliness, restock stations, and assist with floor maintenance while reporting to the FOH Manager or Manager on Duty. Prior restaurant experience is helpful; you must work well under pressure and be service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Clears away dishes from guests and resets tabletops with place settings.
• Cleans chairs and inspects flooring for debris or spills; reports issues as needed.
• Stocks stations with silverware and napkins; returns dirty dishes to the dishwashing area.
• Assists servers with tables and responds to guest questions and requests.
• Maintains restroom cleanliness and helps with floor maintenance as required.

The Busser is responsible for clearing, and re-setting tables. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and assisting guests as needed. The Busser directly reports to the FOH Manager or Manager on Duty.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Clears away dishes from guests.Re-sets tabletops with place settings, wipes down chairs.Inspects and cleans carpet and other flooring when debris/liquid is detected.Responds to guests’ questions and makes recommendations as appropriate.Sets up and maintains the work including but not limited to setting up tables at the beginning or end of shift.Carries trays back to dishwasher, unloads, and wipes trays clean.Scrapes and stacks dishes.
