Job summary

Capano Management Company is seeking a hardworking busser to support front-of-house operations in a busy restaurant setting. You will clear tables, assist waitstaff, and help maintain a clean dining area to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Clear tables of dishes, utensils and trash.
• Assist waitstaff with refilling water and coffee and resetting tables.
• Respond promptly to guest requests to enhance dining experience.
• Maintain clean, stocked utensils, napkins, condiments and supplies.
• Collaborate with kitchen and waitstaff for smooth operations.
• Monitor restroom cleanliness and restock supplies.
• Perform general cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation regulations.
• Provide support to team during busy periods or events.
• Stay organized and communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.

Job description

• Clear tables of dishes, utensils and trash. Wipe down tables and seating and reset efficiently and promptly.
• Assist waitstaff by promptly refilling water glasses, coffee if offered, replacing used utensils and clearing plates between courses, obtaining condiments and assisting as needed.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, ensuring their needs are met to enhance their overall dining experience.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked supply of utensils, napkins, condiments, and other necessary items.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure efficient communication and coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness of restrooms, cleaning as needed and regularly restocking supplies.
• Assist with general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and guests.
• Provide support to other team members as needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations during busy periods or special events.
• Prior experience as a busser or in a similar role withing the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

• Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting.
