Job summary

Smith & Wollensky is seeking a Busser in Chicago to help maintain a clean and welcoming dining area. The role involves clearing dishes, resetting tabletops, assisting guests, stocking stations, and supporting server staff in a fast-paced setting.

You will report to the FOH Manager and be part of a team focused on guest satisfaction and smooth service execution. Previous restaurant experience is beneficial, with strong attention to cleanliness and timeliness.

Job description

The Busser is responsible for clearing, and re-setting tables. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant and assisting guests as needed. The Busser directly reports to the FOH Manager or Manager on Duty.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Clears away dishes from guests.Re-sets tabletops with place settings, wipes down chairs.Inspects and cleans carpet and other flooring when debris/liquid is detected.Responds to guests’ questions and makes recommendations as appropriate.Sets up and maintains the work including but not limited to setting up tables at the beginning or end of shift.Carries trays back to dishwasher, unloads, and wipes trays clean.Scrapes and stacks dishes.
