Job summary

The Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection property, seeks a Lobby Cafe Busser/Runner to join a historic, luxury hospitality team in Beverly Hills. You will contribute to high-standard service in the Lobby Café and Hotel Bar, supported by a renowned learning academy to help you master craft, service, and leadership within the brand.

As a Busser/Runner at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will be $26.27 per hour.

What you'll do

A day in the life of our Busser/Runners demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all of the tasks that our Busser/Runners accomplish would be lengthy, but the list below is essential to know.

• Our Busser/Runners are responsible for maintaining clean, fully stocked, guest-ready tables and service stations, ensuring that glassware, silverware, linens, condiments and ice always meet the standard of the space across both the Lobby Café and Hotel Bar.
• Our Busser/Runners work closely alongside servers and bartenders, assisting with the running of food and beverages, clearing with precision and timing, and ensuring the flow of service remains seamless across both outlets.
• Our guests often have specific requests, from dietary restrictions and drink preferences to special occasion needs. Our Busser/Runners support the team in handling these with attentiveness and care.
• The Lobby Café and Hotel Bar are world-class spaces within one of the most iconic hotels in the world. Our Busser/Runners are relied upon to report any imperfections and work with several other positions to correct them swiftly.
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Busser/Runners stay closely connected with both outlet teams and the extended hotel team to ensure seamless alignment across the board.

The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, our Busser/Runners are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
