The Beverly Hills Hotel, a Dorchester Collection property, is seeking a Bartender to join our luxury team on Sunset Boulevard. You will craft cocktails, deliver exemplary guest service, and maintain the bar's pristine presentation in a bustling luxury setting.

What you'll do

A day in the life of a Bartender demands high levels of energy in order to keep up. They need consistency even though the days are never alike; and creativity to tackle daily adventures. Listing all the tasks a Bartender accomplishes would be lengthy, but the list below is essential to know.

• Our Bartenders are responsible for delivering a consistently high level of guest service to each of our guests, creating a welcoming and memorable bar experience while maintaining a safe environment throughout their shift.
• Our Bartenders are responsible for keeping the bar area clean and well-presented at all times, in accordance with food safety guidelines and the requirements of the local health department.
• Maintaining an accurate cash drawer throughout their shift and being able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally is an essential part of our Bartenders' role.
• Our Bartenders are responsible for mixing all drinks based on the serving sizes outlined in our standard operating procedures, keeping drink costs at a minimum while ensuring our guests receive nothing but the best experience.
• Sometimes our guests have special requests involving specialty cocktails, dietary restrictions, or allergies, and even special occasions. Our Bartenders handle each of these with knowledge, care and a genuine desire to deliver something memorable.
• Our hotels are truly luxury hotels. This requires preventing and correcting the imperfections and blemishes that tend to come up. Our Bartenders are relied upon to report these and work with several other positions to correct.
• Communication is what keeps our departments running perfectly. Our Bartenders maintain open communication with other departments and the extended hotel team to ensure alignment across the board.
• Our Bartenders are genuinely passionate about what they do. They represent The Beverly Hills Hotel with pride, always upholding the principles, goals and policies of The Beverly Hills Hotel Pledge.

The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, Bartenders are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stand for up to 8 hours. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, use hand, finger and wrist dexterity. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
