Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Business Analyst to join our NY Shared Services team. This role focuses on gathering requirements, translating business needs into functional specifications, and partnering with operations and technology teams to deliver effective system solutions for New York programs, including Medicaid Choice, with a Salesforce emphasis.

You will support testing, UAT, defect tracking, and production issue resolution, while creating documentation and enabling process improvements that help

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree
• Experience translating business needs into functional requirements, workflows, or business processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and other business software applications.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, workflows, and process documentation.
• Partner with operations, technical teams, and project stakeholders to support system enhancements and process improvements.
• Support Salesforce and other enterprise applications through requirements gathering, testing, and solution validation.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and release readiness activities.
• Investigate system issues and support production problem resolution.
• Create and maintain business requirements, process flows, and other project documentation.
