Job summary

Valcourt is seeking a Business Development Manager in Lanham, MD to build a portfolio of target customers, educate them about services, and pursue growth opportunities. You will engage owners, property managers, and engineers through campaigns and events to differentiate the company and drive submissions for proposals.

Role requires motivation to win bids, coordinate with estimators, and prepare project documentation. Travel up to 50% and full-time hours are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years in construction or waterproofing field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willing to travel up to regional training and events.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop strategic relationships with partners and customers.
• Develop a strong pipeline of new customers and projects through direct or indirect contact and prospecting.
• Work with Marketing and Sales to plan events, webinars and conferences.
• Generate business through outbound lead activity and researching prospects.
• Qualify inbound leads and prioritize opportunities for internal resources.
• Maintain understanding of the company’s service offerings.
• Articulate differentiators and value proposition to prospects and customers.
• Nurture prospects and track activity in CRM.
• Represent the company at networking events.
• Manage KPI reports for sales activity, leads, opportunities, and pipeline.
• Assist in take-offs to obtain accurate footages and measurements for estimating.
• Prepare proposals and present project documentation for review.
