About The Role
The Business Development Representative creates qualified pipeline for a cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity platform by identifying target accounts, engaging technical and business stakeholders, and booking discovery meetings for account executives.
The role combines account research, high-volume outbound prospecting, and inbound lead qualification. Success requires clear communication, disciplined CRM execution, and the ability to connect infrastructure, cloud security, and developer tooling challenges to business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

- Execute personalized outbound sequences across phone, email, and LinkedIn using sales engagement tools such as Outreach, Salesloft, or equivalent platforms
- Qualify inbound and outbound prospects by understanding their technology environment, business priorities, timing, and buying process
- Book qualified discovery meetings for account executives and consistently achieve weekly activity, meeting, and pipeline targets
- Maintain accurate Salesforce or equivalent CRM records, including contact data, account research, call notes, qualification details, and next steps
- Test messaging by persona and segment, then share call insights with sales, marketing, and product teams to improve campaigns and positioning
- Monitor conversion metrics across outreach stages and adjust targeting, sequencing, and follow-up based on performance data

- Basic understanding of cloud computing, SaaS, cybersecurity, DevOps, or developer tools; ability to learn technical products quickly
- Familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM, sales engagement platforms, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and spreadsheet-based reporting
- High level of organization, coachability, resilience, and accountability for activity and pipeline goals
