Job description

A rapidly growing North American logistics provider, founded by industry veterans in 2007, combines the agility of a boutique brokerage with the reliability of an asset-based carrier. With a dedicated fleet of over 40 trucks and a robust 3PL network, this team serves Fortune 500 clients and emerging enterprises alike, delivering innovative cross-border and domestic freight solutions.

Position Summary
An expanding sales organization seeks three Business Development professionals to drive new revenue across the US and Canada. Reporting to senior leaders, these roles focus on hunting new accounts, owning client relationships long-term, and maximizing gross profit performance in a highly autonomous, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and close new business opportunities across North America’s transportation market.
  • Build strategic relationships with decision-makers at SMB and enterprise clients.
  • Exceed negotiated sales quotas through proactive prospecting and consultative selling.
  • Partner with a 60–80‑member support team across operations, customer service, marketing, and billing.
  • Design and present tailored logistics solutions leveraging both asset-based and brokerage capabilities.
  • Ensure ongoing account satisfaction and retention, translating feedback into service improvements.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of brokerage or logistics sales experience, with demonstrated success in new business development.
  • Results‑driven approach, focused on gross profit metrics.
  • Self‑motivated and effective in a remote-first setting, with strategic travel as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; personable, confident, and collaborative.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales technology tools.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary,commensurate with experience
  • Commission: 10% on gross profit (with options for a lower base & higher commission model!)
  • RRSP matching, travel & entertainment reimbursement, company cell phone, etc.
