Allied Universal Janitorial’s Division is hiring a Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities across a geographic region. The VP of Sales offers a flexible remote office environment due to extensive travel within the regional territory. The consultative sales professional will be responsible for new business development in various verticals, including Commercial Real Estate, Higher Education, Medical Office Buildings, and Retail Centers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the sales process, including prospecting, managing leads, developing proposals, negotiating contracts and pricing, responding to RFPs, delivering presentations, and implementing contracts post-close.
  2. Develop and execute strategic business development plans within a designated territory to achieve growth, increase market share, and enhance Allied Universal’s local presence and janitorial solutions across industries.
  3. Collaborate with support departments and operational leadership to develop tailored proposals that position the team to win new business and foster trusted client relationships.
  4. Build and maintain consultative relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders for long-term partnerships.
  5. Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, competitors, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities.
  6. Regularly assess and report on sales activities, pipeline development, and sales goals using CRM tools and communicate with senior management.
  7. Contribute to a culture that values innovation, agility, and teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Must have one or more of the following:
    • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of outside B2B sales experience
    • Associate’s degree with at least 5 years of outside B2B sales experience
    • High School diploma with at least 15 years of outside B2B sales experience
  • Team-oriented sales professional skilled in collaboration and relationship building.
  • Award-winning hunter with consultative selling experience and a record of achieving sales excellence.
  • Proficient in brand development through networks, associations, and social media.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations.
  • Proficient in web-based applications like Salesforce and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational skills for planning calls, meetings, reporting, and achieving goals.
  • Willing and able to travel throughout the territory, including some overnight stays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in consultative B2B service sales.

Benefits:

  • Base salary of $70,000 plus commissions.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance.
  • Participation in 401(k) or Supplemental Income Plan, subject to eligibility.
  • Eight paid holidays, five sick days, and four personal days annually.
  • Vacation accrual at 3.08 hours biweekly; unused vacation paid where legally required.
