Job Title:
Business Development Manager (Government Contracting)

Job Description: The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for identifying and qualifying Department of Defense (DoD) business opportunities, capturing these opportunities, and leading the development of a qualified pipeline to meet or exceed company forecasts and plans. This role involves close collaboration with Operations and Proposal teams to facilitate successful proposal development. Additionally, the manager will plan and recommend strategies for business development and growth to maximize customer and market penetration and to drive tactical and strategic expansion.

Required Skills:

  • Experience focusing on S&T customer organizations such as AFRL, DARPA, CCDC, OSD, or US Space Force.
  • Proven success in business development across various acquisition sizes.
  • Access to key customers and industry partners.
  • Leadership skills to develop, organize, and execute significant business development activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related technical field

Years of Experience: 7+ years in a Business Development or operational role heavily involved in Business Development within DoD customer organizations.

Travel: Up to 30%

Security Clearance Required: Secret

Position Type: Full-Time Exempt

Work Location: Remote

Expected salary range is $160,000 - $175,000 per year plus benefits. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
