Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit seeks a Business Development Engineer for the US Air Force. The role blends RF engineering with customer requirements, interfacing with the Applications Engineering and Business Development teams to showcase StreamCaster MANET radios across airborne and expeditionary environments.

The position involves up to 50% travel and offers a remote option depending on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 2–5 years in systems engineering, technical business development, or defense tech.
• Exposure to Software-Defined Radios (SDRs), IP-based routing, or tactical comms systems.
• Security clearance: US SECRET or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan technical field trials, configurations, and live-on-air executions of field tests.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineering to benchmark and verify solution architectures.
• Align with BD on technical needs and strategic priorities.
• Build and present technical demonstrations for airborne and expeditionary networks.
• Conduct market research on potential integrations with industry partners.
• Engage with DAF PEOs and AFRL for program context and procurement pathways.
• Collect field feedback and translate it into product roadmap inputs.
