Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States (Texas) is seeking an experienced Business Analyst/Systems Analyst to bridge business and technical teams. You will translate business requirements into technical specs, map data flows, and support system changes from inception to implementation.

You will perform data analysis using SQL, create BRDs/FRDs/User Stories, and ensure compliance with industry standards, processes, and risk controls. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
• Strong background in financial services.
• Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies, JIRA, BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Process Maps, and Use Cases.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships.
• Self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Liaise between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way.
• Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects.
• Foster communication between business and technology teams.
• Translate functional business requirements into technical specifications, system integration diagrams, and data mapping schemas.
• Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues through evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards.
• Perform data analysis and system troubleshooting using SQL queries.
• Query databases, validate data flows, and diagnose backend system issues.
• Support system change processes from requirements through implementation.
• Consult with business clients to determine functional specifications and provide user and operational support.
• Identify and communicate risks and impacts of technology applications.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations and escalates, manage, and report control issues.
