Job summary

SUBR is seeking an Associate Bursar to oversee student financial operations, including cashiering, accounts receivable, billing, and collections. The role provides leadership for staff and ensures compliance with university policies and federal regulations.

The Associate Bursar will coordinate Form 1098-T reporting, collaborate with other departments, and support audit readiness while maintaining strong internal controls and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in accounting, financial operations, student accounts management, or a related financial services role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily cashiering, student accounts receivable, billing, and collections to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise third-party billing operations and student refunds, including handling government agencies and sponsors.
• Coordinate Form 1098-T tax reporting and ensure compliance with IRS deadlines.
• Maintain internal controls, supervise staff, and support audits and financial reporting.
