Beacon College seeks an experienced Bursar to lead the Student Accounts office in Leesburg, FL. The Bursar oversees billing, payments, financial aid posting, third-party and VR sponsor billing, refunds, and collections, guiding a dedicated team with patience and clarity.

The role aims to modernize processes, moving from manual tasks in Jenzabar One to automated workflows, while ensuring timely communication with students and families.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3+ years in student accounts or accounts receivable with supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support the Student Accounts team and plan coverage for peak periods.
• Develop and maintain Student Accounts policies in line with regulations.
• Direct student billing and set up the annual tuition and fees in J1 after board approval.
• Publish statements, manage holds and collections, and oversee refunds and aging reports.
• Oversee payment processing, reconciliation, and sponsor billing (third-party and VR).
• Post financial aid disbursements promptly and manage adjustments with Financial Aid.
• Lead process automation in J1 and collaborate with IT and J1 consultants.
