Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bulk Manager to lead the Bulk department, ensuring proper packaging, pricing, and presentation of bulk items. You will manage inventory, compliance, and daily operations while delivering outstanding customer service.

The role requires 1–2 years in retail grocery and 1 year in leadership, with flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered in a fast-paced, customer-focused store environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have 1-2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment and 1 year of managerial leadership experience.
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Be expected to know weekly ad items; and be able to give customers direction of product location throughout the store; does general housekeeping in the department.
• Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Possess a working knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals.
• Have and show outgoing and friendly behavior along with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers.
• Be able to move vertically/horizontally transferring product weighing up to 50 lbs., from 4” to 36”, for a distance up to 4 feet for up to 15 hours without mechanical assistance. This role requires continuous standing for up to 4 hours, for a total of 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Follow the merchandising Bulk plan and ensure the team packages and weighs bulk items accurately.
• Order and maintain inventory, rotate product by codes dates, and follow sanitation program.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, W&M and COOL regulations.
• Communicate standards and product knowledge to team members.
• Provide high level of customer service.
• Ensure Bulk area is clean and orderly.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise.
• Coach and develop team; participate in bi-annual performance reviews.
• Attend in-store meetings.
• Recruit, hire, promote/transfer decisions with Store Manager.
• Address team member concerns; take corrective actions.
• Create and adjust schedules and staffing levels to maximize productivity.
• Lead a team to deliver quality product and service.
• Serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed.
