Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• 1-2 years of experience in a retail grocery environment and 1 year of managerial leadership.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Know weekly ad items and direct customers to product locations.
• Work a flexible schedule as business changes; including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Know personnel, margin, weekly sales reports and financial goals.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Follow the merchandising Bulk plan and ensure proper packaging, scaling, and pricing of bulk items.
• Order and maintain inventory; rotate product using code dates; keep bulk bins neat.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, Weights & Measures, and COOL rules.
• Communicate standards, policy changes, and product knowledge to the team.
• Provide a high level of customer service in the Bulk department.
• Maintain clean, orderly Bulk area and properly present items.
• Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed.
• Coach and evaluate team members; participate in bi-annual performance reviews.
• Lead store meetings, recruit/hire, and make promotion decisions with the Store Manager.
• Address team concerns with independent judgment; take corrective actions as needed.
• Optimize productivity by adjusting schedules and staffing levels.
• Lead a team to deliver top quality products and service for customers.
• Serve as Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed.
