Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Buildings Engineering Intern for our Los Angeles, CA office for Summer 2027. You will assist the project team in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings and participate in field reviews, documentation of conditions, and modelling tasks.

Ideal candidates are currently in an undergraduate civil or architectural engineering program (3rd year) with coursework in steel and concrete design, strong organization, communication skills, and a willingness to learn new

Qualifications

• Must be a current 3rd-year undergrad or grad student in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on structures.
• Completion of steel and concrete design coursework preferred, completion of at least one such class required.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure beneficial.
• Co-op/Internship experience related to commercial, institutional, or residential buildings would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept through construction.
• Perform field reviews and document existing conditions.
• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Assist with computer modelling and hand calculations.
