TYLin is seeking a Buildings Engineering Intern for the Rochester, NY office for Summer 2027. You will assist in preparing structural design and drawings for diverse building types from concept through construction, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes field reviews, understanding of engineering plans, and hands-on modeling and calculations, with mentorship and opportunities to contribute to real projects.

Qualifications

• Current 3rd year undergraduate in Civil or Architectural Engineering (structures focus).
• Completion of steel and concrete design classes preferred, at least one required.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software. Familiarity with REVIT Structure beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Work with the project team to assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings (commercial, institutional, residential, etc.) from conceptual and preliminary stages of design through construction.
• Perform field review for projects under construction and/or visit existing buildings to document existing conditions.
• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Assist with computer modeling & hand calculations.
