Job summary

Willow-Bridge-Property-Compan seeks a Lead Building Engineer to oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of building systems, supervising staff and contractors to ensure safe, efficient performance.

You will monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment, coordinate preventive maintenance, and collaborate with tenants and vendors to resolve issues while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Five to seven years of industry-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• At least one year of supervisory, training, and/or mentoring experience.
• CFC Certification preferred or willingness to obtain as requested; licenses required according to local, state, or national requirements.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, energy management software systems, CMMS, and other building operational platforms.
• Familiar with fire/life safety equipment/procedures.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent internal and external customer service; ability to interact with tenants/vendors/contractors as well as teammates and leadership.
• Familiarity with blueprints and code requirements.
• Ability to work after hours, weekends, holidays, and during emergency situations as necessary.
• Ability to read and write English to understand manuals and procedures, and to write reports.
• Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), HVAC, and electrical controls with troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the operating condition of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs for the building.
• Oversee service contractors while ensuring compliance with building standards.
• Supervise and mentor junior Engineers and Technicians; assist in setting staff performance goals and evaluating progress.
• Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and property managers to ensure reliable building operations and resolve tenant issues.
• Oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance with PPE; report safety hazards and participate in safety inspections.
• Record equipment readings and ensure building systems operate according to standards.
• Lead and maintain safety training and compliance logs.
• Communicate with teammates, leadership, vendors, tenants, and client employees in a professional manner.
