Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Building Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across assigned properties. The role involves rounds, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to maintain safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in commercial property maintenance, with relevant trade licenses, and strong energy-management awareness. On-site work with travel between properties is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience operating mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
• Appropriate trade license/permit may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician, Refrigeration Certificate, etc.).
• May require Universal Technician for CFCs depending on licensure requirements.
• Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel & Word.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing, electrical, or HVAC work across buildings.
• Maintain heating, chillers, DX units, pumps, and air distribution systems.
• Monitor energy management and adjust equipment for comfort and efficiency.
• Repair doors, ceilings, floors and related fixtures; perform preventive maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and comply with safety regulations.
• Document activities and report to supervisor.
