Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain and repair building systems across plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, and related areas. You will ensure facilities operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with codes and client requirements.

The role covers preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and adherence to safety and environmental standards. You will collaborate with teams to uphold CBRE’s service excellence and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire life safety and control systems.
• Keep facility and building systems in compliance with applicable standards.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives for building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program to ensure efficient operation of systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to meet or exceed rated life; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; keep workplace clean and safe.
• Review building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation within design conditions.
• Apply advanced knowledge to accomplish complex tasks and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines within the function.
• Lead by example and help build consensus within CBRE teams; support CBRE RISE values.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within the team and related teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies; explain difficult or sensitive information.
