Qualifications

• Experience in sales and developing new accounts for building materials.
• Knowledge of home-building basics and materials.
• Ability to create material estimates/quotes and process special orders.
• Ability to open new accounts monthly/quarterly and build client lists.
• Ability to read blueprints and provide material takeoffs.
• Capability to work independently with strong planning.
• Proven organizational skills and multitasking in a field sales role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Sell full line of building materials and installed services to local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage each sales engagement, including post-sale relationship care.
• Visit job sites as needed to assess needs and collect usage data.
• Maintain schedules and coordinate with yards, dispatch, and management.
• Read blueprints and prepare material takeoffs for quotes and orders.
