CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer in New Jersey to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life safety. You will support preventive maintenance, manage energy use, and ensure compliance with codes and safety requirements.

You’ll lead by example, coach peers, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and reliable facility environment while pursuing required licensure such as the NJ C2 Wastewater Operator license.

Formación

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; other local/state licenses may be required.
• Meet physical requirements and be able to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic math for calculations.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and building systems operations.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Ensure facility systems operate to applicable standards and safety rules.
• Follow codes, regulations, and company directives related to operations and safety.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials per policy.
• Review building system inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design and environmental targets.
• Apply standard techniques to complex assignments and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across related disciplines.
• Lead by example, build consensus, and align with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact customer, operational, and project activities within teams.
