Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Williamsburg, VA seeks a Building Enclosure Project Associate to support field investigations, testing, technical analysis, and report preparation for our Mid-Atlantic Building Science & Infrastructure team.

Work with experienced consultants and multidisciplinary project teams to evaluate building envelope performance, support construction quality, and deliver practical solutions for a broad range of facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture (NCARB), or a related field.
• 2+ years of related experience with building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, commissioning (BECx), design review, or forensic assessments.
• License or certification in PE, RA, IIBEC (RRC/RWC/REWC/RBEC/CBECxP), or BECxP/CxA+BE preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support building science & infrastructure projects with field investigations, testing, and reporting.
• Coordinate site activities and communicate with field staff, subcontractors, and management.
• Assist with proposals, change orders, budgets, and invoices; monitor progress and schedules.
• Interface with clients and multidisciplinary teams; contribute to junior staff development.
