Job summary

ECS seeks a Building Enclosure Project Associate to join our Southeast Building Science + Infrastructure team in Jackson, MS. You will support enclosure consulting through field investigations, testing, analysis, and reporting, collaborating with experienced consultants for practical client solutions.

Opportunity for hands-on field experience, technical growth, and mentorship in a collaborative environment, with exposure to multiple facility types and building envelope projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture (NCARB).
• 2+ years in building enclosure consulting with field investigations, testing, or forensic work.
• Licensure or certification preferred: PE, RA, IIBEC certs, or UW-Madison BECxP/CxA+BE.

Responsibilities

• Perform building science & infrastructure testing, inspections, and consulting services.
• Conduct site observations of roofing and enclosure systems and assist CAD work as needed.
• Interpret drawings and test results; propose corrective actions and design reviews.
• Support project budgets, proposals, and progress reporting; ensure schedule updates.
• Interface with clients and multidisciplinary teams; mentor junior staff.
