Job summary

Job Description

As a Building Automation System Specialist, you will primarily perform and develop sequence testing, project graphics, and point‑to‑point verification to ensure the system operates efficiently. You will work as part of a team on client or project job sites to install control systems and provide diagnostic and repair services.

Responsibilities
  • Sequence Testing: Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications, detect malfunctions, and ensure proper installation of components.
  • Point‑to‑Point Verification: Test components for proper functioning, diagnose issues, and operate standard or specialized testing equipment.
  • Project Graphics: Create images for wiring, design sketches, and system dashboards; present designs to customers, engineers, or consultants for approval.
  • Repairs/Service: Repair or replace worn or damaged parts, troubleshoot malfunctions, and recommend preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Adjustments: Adjust system controls and equipment settings to manufacturer recommendations for optimal performance.
  • Documentation: Record work orders, expense reports, training certificates, and punch lists; compile job documentation and provide accurate project records.
  • Training: Instruct individuals on operating tools and equipment, guide tasks to improve efficiency and quality of work.
