Job summary

Trane Technologies in Salt Lake City seeks an HVAC/Controls Installer to install and service building automation systems. You will interpret drawings and use hand tools to install climate control equipment, coordinate with other trades, and ensure safety.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience, and a valid driver's license. Travel is regular, occasional overnight stays, with comprehensive benefits and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience.
• Technical school or formal training preferred.
• Valid driver's license; clean record.
• Knowledge of low voltage electricity and building control techniques.
• Experience with DDC controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems using hand tools and interpreting drawings.
• Prepare for on-site installation by examining layout and coordinating with other trades.
• Maintain stock and document all activities and reports.
• Serve as direct customer contact, ensuring satisfaction and diagnosing equipment failures.
• Keep Trane product knowledge up-to-date; inspect and maintain vehicles and tools.
