Job summary

Trane Technologies in Michigan is seeking an HVAC/Controls installer to partner with customers and colleagues on-site. You will install building automation systems, interpret drawings, run wiring, and coordinate with other trades while maintaining inventory and documentation.

The role requires at least 2–5 years of HVAC/Controls experience, a valid driver's license, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically at least 2-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls.
• Technical School or formal training is preferred.
• Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics (board level troubleshooting), direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the installation of building automation systems.
• Interpreting control drawings and plans to install temperature control systems, wiring, and end devices.
• Coordinate on-site work, gather materials, and liaise with other trades as needed.
• Maintain inventory and document all activities; complete required paperwork on each job.
