Ferguson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative - Builder to cover the Sarasota area. This field-based role includes a base salary plus commission, with travel and expense support, company cell phone, and laptop provided.

The total compensation ranges from $75,000 to $125,000+ depending on performance. The role requires developing customer relationships, expanding the client base, and delivering exceptional service across construction and building supply projects.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years industry-related sales experience preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks timely and independently.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel locally daily and some overnights; able to work rotating Saturday schedule.
• Proven ability to build relationships and drive sales in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base, collaborating with branch teams to ensure satisfaction from order to delivery.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities; collaborate with management on sales strategies and new account targeting.
• Provide product quotations and resolve customer issues.
• Analyze competition in the territory and communicate sales strategy to management.
• Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge; maintain professional image in the field.
• Document all sales activity in Salesforce for pipeline tracking and performance measurement.
