Job summary

Ferguson is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for Facilities Supply to support customers in the Birmingham/Tuscaloosa area. This field-based role is remote and will require local travel, with a base plus uncapped commission and total compensation from $75,000 to $130,000+ based on performance.

You will develop relationships, identify opportunities, provide quotes, and manage the sales pipeline using Salesforce. Strong MS Office and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of outside field sales experience preferred.
• Experience with MRO vertical and liaising with GMs, maintenance supervisors, and engineers is beneficial.
• Proven sales experience in distribution/manufacturing environments is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and active listening skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and learn quickly.
• Excellent communication, time management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers and vendors, ensuring flawless service from order to delivery.
• Grow share of wallet by building trust-based relationships with active, new, and inactive customers.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and devise sales strategies with management.
• Perform product quotations and resolve customer issues with outstanding service.
• Analyze competition within the territory and communicate sales strategies to management.
• Document all sales activities in CRM tools like Salesforce and Map My Customer.
