Job summary

Ferguson is seeking a proven Outside Sales Representative for the Residential Trade to service customers in the Connecticut area. This field-based role will require building relationships from order to delivery and identifying new business opportunities to expand the customer base.

The position offers a base plus commission with no cap, plus a fuel card, auto allowance, company cell phone & laptop, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry related sales experience preferred.
• Results oriented, self-motivated, able to build relationships.
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Problem solving, leadership and listening skills.
• General digital literacy.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and an assigned customer base from order to delivery.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base.
• Quote products and resolve problems to support sales.
• Analyze territory competition and communicate strategy to management.
• Improve sales skills and product knowledge to project a professional field image.
• Document all sales activity in Salesforce for pipeline evaluation.
