Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc., the nation’s largest homebuilder, is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator for its Financial Services Branch. You will interview applicants, explain financing options, and manage the loan process from application to funding.

The role requires 1–2 years of experience, a valid Mortgage Loan Originator license, a driver’s license, and strong communication. Occasional overtime and travel may be required, with weekend events in builder communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to educate them on financing options available.
• Be accessible to the buyer and involved parties for questions/updates.
• Maintain reports and notes within origination software and CRM systems.
• Review new leads daily and contact them to earn their business.
• Daily Pipeline Management from application to funding to smooth process.
• Make presentations on loan products in sales meetings and builder communities.
• Provide timely disclosures to applicants in compliance with regulations.
• Attend loan closings when possible.
