Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator for its Financial Services Branch to promote business development, originate loans, and manage relationships with customers and clients.

The role involves interviewing applicants, presenting loan options, maintaining CRM records, and driving the loan process from application to funding while ensuring compliance with disclosures and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator as required by state.
• Possess general mortgage banking understanding (including lock procedures, program analysis, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory timelines).
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Interview mortgage applicants to understand financing options and goals.
• Be accessible to buyers and involved parties to answer questions and provide updates.
• Maintain reports and notes within origination software/CRM systems.
• Review new leads daily and contact them to earn business.
• Manage the loan pipeline from application to funding to ensure a smooth process.
• Present loan products in sales meetings and with builder communities.
